WE STARTED CHURCH OF FAITH IN 1988.

ONE SUMMER WHILE I WAS VISITING FROM BIBLE SCHOOL WE HAD A MEETING IN A RESTAURANT; WHILE IT WAS CLOSED.

FROM THAT MEETING THE LORD PUT IT IN OUR HEARTS TO START A CHURCH.

EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO, WE STILL HAVE AN EXCITEMENT AND GREAT FAITH AT WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN OUR LIVES, AND WHAT HE CONTINUES TO DO.

Pastor Juan Carlos (J.C.) Gomez  grew up in the small West Texas town of Sierra Blanca, located about 80 miles east of El Paso, with a population of around 800. His lovely wife Armida, comes from El Paso, Tx.

J.C. came home to establish Church of Faith, which began at one of the local restuarants, while it was closed, and then moved on to whereever they could find a place to meet. Then, in 1989 they met in a store front  on the main street until a permanent building could be purchased.   From this humble beginning, Church of Faith has grown to a congregation of approximately 50. The church  building has since been expanded to include a pastor's office, Sunday school rooms, a large hall and kitchen, as well as a fenced yard for barbeques, volley ball, and play ground equipment.

 J.C. met Armida Ortega  and they married in Church of Faith in 1993. Daughter Rachel Nicole was born in 1996 and son Jeremy Charles was born in 2000. 

The  music ministry is an integral part of Church of Faith. J.C. is both lead singer and   guitar player, in addition to  composing music and lyrics. Really, the work that we all do as christians is something to be commended. For the pastor cannot do anything without good faithful people who have their priorities straight
